Designed in 1927 by Harald Nielsen, the Pyramid sterling silver cutlery pattern was inspired by a fascination with ancient Egyptian forms and symbolism which was in vogue in the late 1920safter the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. Pyramid’s Egyptian motif, seen in the stepped pyramidfinial topped off with a little ball, illustrates Harald Nielsen’s contribution to the highly stylizedand geometric Art Deco style.
