The 1 ozt Silver Britannia is the United Kingdom’s official silver bullion coin, produced annually by the Royal Mint. First released in 1997, this series has become one of the most trusted and recognized silver bullion coins worldwide, valued for its purity, artistry, and government backing.

Each coin contains 1 troy ounce (1 ozt) of fine silver. Coins dated 1997–2012 are struck in .958 fine “Britannia silver”, while issues from 2013 onward are minted in .999 fine silver. Each coin has a diameter of 38.61 mm and carries a legal tender face value of £2 (GBP).

The reverse design features the iconic figure of Britannia, depicted in varying renditions that symbolize Britain’s heritage and strength. The obverse displays a royal portrait, with coins dated before 2023 featuring Queen Elizabeth II and coins dated 2023 and later featuring King Charles III.
